I am honored to share that the program ACNM by Guatemala’s National Conservatory “Germán Alcántara” recently featured my performance of “Fiesta de Pájaros” by Jesús Castillo on their official Facebook page.

Composed by Jesús Castillo (1877–1946), a pivotal figure in Guatemalan classical music, “Fiesta de Pájaros” is a Valse-Capricho Español that vividly captures the essence of Guatemala’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. The piece intricately weaves melodies reminiscent of indigenous sounds from the Chimaltenango region, celebrating the rich tapestry of our nation’s musical traditions.

This recording was initially part of an evaluative test, and I am deeply grateful to the Conservatory for recognizing and sharing my interpretation of such a significant composition.

You can watch the full performance below and visit the Conservatory’s Facebook post for more details.
